Low Energy Consequences of Planck Scale Physics

Faizal Mir
University of Lethbridge
Résumé:

Even though there are various different approaches to quantum gravity, there are some universal predictions of almost all approaches to quantum gravity. One such prediction is the existence of an extended structure in the background geometry of  spacetime. Such a structure would deform all quantum systems and have low energy consequences. I will discuss such deformations of some interesting quantum systems.
