I am an associate professor at the Physics Department of the Université de Montréal. My research activities are focused on the ATLAS experiment at CERN, Geneva. ATLAS is a particle detector that analyzes the collisions produced by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), by far the most powerful particle accelerator ever built. The LHC marks one of the most exciting times in the history of fundamental physics. Indeed the LHC allows us to attain for the first time the tera-electron-volt energy scale, at which we expect the presence of new fundamental physics, such as the creation of dark matter in the laboratory, the discovery of new spatial dimensions and of Supersymmetry. We have already discovered a new particle, which appears to be the Higgs boson that would be at the origin of mass. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you’re interested to study this field.
